Kanchipuram priest scandal which  came into light in November 2009 which has shocked the devotees all over the world. Kanchipuram temple scandal where a temple priest has violated the sanctity of the holy Kanchipuram temple can be termed as the ‘limit to which a person can fall in acts’.

The public in shock to know about his sexual acts that took place inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Machaesa Perumal temple, a Vaishnavite shrine. According to reports a priest Devanathan (36) – a father of 2 children, used to engage in sexual acts while the devotees waited outside to perform puja. The pervert priest even used to record his sexual acts on his mobile phone.The issue can in light when he gave his mobile for repair and the mobile technician downloaded the explicit scenes and brought them into the public domain. The MMS clips which are 19 files running for about 90 minutes according to reports are hot on the web.

Same way again similar scandal came in lime light in March 2010.

KOZHIKODE: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been named as the ‘Woman of the Decade’ in an online survey conducted by leading Malayalam daily, the Mathrubhumi’s women’s online site on the occasion of the world’s Women’s Day.

Sonia Gandhi secured 53% votes in the survey conducted by the daily’s ‘mb4eves.com’ followed by Mayilamma, the woman activist who spearheaded the agitation against soft drink major Coca Cola over the exploitation of underground water at Plachimada in Palakkad district of Kerala.

While Mayilamma received 13% votes, Indian-American astronomer Sunita Williams bagged the third spot with 9% votes, according to the website.

The ‘iron lady’ of Manipur, Irom Sharmila, pooled 8.5% votes and President Pratibha Singh Patil with 6% votes came fourth and fifth respectively.

Among those who secured a place in the list are badminton champion Saina Nehwal (4%), Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai (3%) and tennis star Sania Mirza (2%).
