Wes Welker injured his knee during today’s game on 3rd JANUARY 2010, with the Houston Texans, the initial prognosis on Patriots WR Wes Welker is that he tore his left ACL and MCL this afternoon,according to a source

The father of Patriots WR Wes Welker said Sunday his son looked as upset as he’s ever seen him after suffering a left knee injury in a loss at Houston.

While timetables vary on these types of injuries, it’s typically a 6-12 month rehab process. So after further tests tomorrow, Welker will go on injured reserve and undergo reconstructive surgery as soon as the swelling in the knee goes down.
