Sensex ends up 92pts

The markets have rebounded into the positive. The Sensex is quoting at 17,476, up 53 points, and the Nifty is at 5,223, up 13 points.

Index heavyweight, Reliance has rebounded into the positive and the IT sector has buit on its previous day’s gains.

TCS has gained 4.6% at Rs 784, ACC has strengthened by 4% to Rs 935, Infosys has added 3.2% to Rs 2671 and Wipro is up 2.4% at Rs 711.

On the other hand, rate sensitive sectors such as banking and auto are trading weak. Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 3.7% to Rs 1,144. Sun Pharma has shed 2.2% at Rs 1537 and Sterlite has lost 1.7% at Rs 860.

ICICI Bank, SBI and HDFC Bank are down 1-2% each.

The market breadth is neutral. Out of 2,931 stocks traded on the BSE, 1,418 stocks declined and 1,435 have advanced.
