Sun Pharma gets USFDA nod for Gemfibrozil tablets

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries` US subsidiary has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Gemfibrozil tablets, in the strength of 600 mg.
Gemfibrozil is used to treat very high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in people with pancreatitis.
In the month of November, the company announced that it received final approval from USFDA to market generic Sinemet, Carbidopa and Levodopa tablets.
